PZ Series Knife Gate Valve

A Knife Gate Valve is a type of valve that is designed to control the flow of fluids through a pipe by means of a blade or gate that slides back and forth across the opening of the valve. This type of valve is commonly used in industrial applications, such as pulp and paper mills, chemical plants, and mining operations.

Product Description

Carbon Steel Knife Gate Valve

Knife gate valves provide a lower valve pressure drop and are better suited for handling slurries, solids, and other fluid/solids mixtures than ordinary plug, butterfly, or ball valves. Supcon manufactures knife gate valves for pulp and paper, chemical, petrochemical, power, mining, wastewater and other applications.

Benefits

Valve field maintenance

External access to gland packing allows replacement of the packing ring without removing the valve from the pipeline.

Long service life

The bottom edge of the blade is curved for high cutting power. Precision grinding and hard chrome plating, smooth blade surface, increased wear resistance, long service life

Self-adjusting flexible valve seat supported by O-ring, high wear resistance and long service life.

Reliable sealing

Grommets can be adjusted to restore sealing during maintenance work

Easy to actuate

The stem nut is supported by needle roller bearings, which reduces actuation torque and is easy to actuate.
